"On several occasions, these people have called me. The recording says "This is PECO, the company formerly known as Philadelphia Electric Company. Because you have not been late or missed a payment in the last 6 months, you are entitled to a 15 reduction on your bill. Press 1 to see if you are eligible for this reduction. So, I didn't think it was real, but I pressed one to record the phone call. When the person that sounded like he was foreign said hello, I could barely hear him for the very loud background of what sounded like a hundred people all talking at once. I said "You are being recorded" I couldn't hear his response, so I hung up. I hope they are caught - since I just received a class action settlement check from a suit against a telemarketer that was a scam ring. I'd love to keep getting money from the people that are making my phones unusable! I have missed important calls for fear that it's yet another spam/scam call!! People why isn't someone bringing suit again the phone companies for not doing their job to protect their customers?"
