"Received the same type of message stating that they were recording this attempt and that they were contacting me because I have refused to live up to my responsibilities and it also included a complaint number but no call back number."

"The same message was left on my voice mail like the ones above. The number that the call came in from is 1-470-231-4722. They did not leave the name of the company, but tried to give a reference number about the complaint. I refuse to respond to that call. I have had several calls from that number, from Washington State, North Carolina, and Flordia."

"Received a phone call from this number this morning "regarding a legal complaint"... they very poorly make it seem to be a legal matter when it is obvious that they are a collection agency. I have an outstanding medical bill and I thought " oh shoot" they sent me to collections.....Nope, these people are scammers trying to collect Junk debt with false information, false dates, false account/loan types. Tried to tell me I opened an account in 2010 in a completely different state than I live and that i defaulted on it in 2012. They lie about credit reporting laws and practices and are very clearly uneducated. DO NOT PAY THEM A DIME. If you are concerned about collections accounts, please utilize and review your annual free credit report at freecreditreport.com or ask for a copy of yours from your lending/banking institution. Sign up for credit monitoring service. NEVER be bullied via deceptive practices into forking over debts for accounts that have been long charged off by the original creditor or are past statute. You Will create more credit issues for yourself! If an account is more than 7 years old then please do your research before you hand anyone money!"

"Source One Financial (Source 1 Financial) aka "Paramount Financial Group" - appear to be physically located at 182 Washington St., Norwell, Massachusetts, but they give addresses in other locations as well. Appears to be a small operation, 2-3 people, maybe they pay a lawyer somewhere so they can claim they are a law firm, or maybe they just try to create the appearance they do. They used to give auto loans apparently, but they seem to be in the junk debt buying/collection business now- buying old debts they can't legally force you to pay, then they just try to annoy you into paying it. Because they have no real leverage, they resort to very scammy techniques... ominous language meant to confuse people into thinking that MAYBE there is some lawsuit in the works, but there isn't. Be aware that they use a phone system that exploits modern electronic voicemail weaknesses that allows them to know when you listened to their voicemails, which numbers you check voicemail on, and they can even identify your number when you use call blocking to call them back. If they are calling your cell, one easy solution is to save every number they call from, and add a custom, SILENT ring tone for all their numbers. They are legally obligated to stop calling you, if you instruct them to."

"Received call Friday AM from 470 321-4722 Atlanta, Ga. "If this is...continue listening...This is a 2nd documented attempt to reach you regarding a complaint. We are in the process of pursuing this matter applicable to the laws with your state...press 1 to speak to a claims specialist...or call us at 704 585-8987." Charlotte N.C. This scam seems somewhat legitimate, with a nice sounding woman reading the generic mess. It even came with a "complaint" number I should give them. However, no real monetary complaint with possible legal action would ever come via a phone message. It is always sent via mail. Another tip off is that these scams never actually leave a business name that can be verified prior to calling them. Do Not Respond to these scams!"
