"They've called 4 times this week during the work day, I picked up twice (I'm always curious). One time they hung up right away, another time a woman was on the other end and said she was with Greenpeace Canada and asked if it was a good time. There was a lot of noise in the background with someone else talking (call centre?) that was making it hard to continue talking, so I said it was a bad time and let her know about the noise. Area code is the same as mine, which I don't see very often as I'm not actually living in that area. I get the impression that scams think they'll have some luck by cloning a local number and seem like they are local/relevant to you. I'm not convinced that this was actually a call from Greenpeace Canada as I don't believe I've ever provided them with my number."
