"Verbatim what Larry said"

"I was called from this number which my phone identified as a call from Singapore. The start of the call had some woman in distress crying and asking for my help by my first name. Then the phone was taken away and a man got on but speaking away from the phone said something along the lines of "Keep her away from the windows". Then he addressed me and roughly said something along the lines of, "Larry we have your mother (and gave her first name) kidnapped in a van, if you hope to see her alive again what you choose to do and say will affect that. Do not contact the police and do not talk about this to those around you." I just kept repeating variations of, "I'm sorry what did you say, did you say you have my mother kidnapped?" a few times while I walked over to where I knew my mother would be working on a project in the yard. This man who sounded like he had a Hispanic accent -maybe- it was hard to quite place it because he did speak English very well. Better than any headhunters that call me all day long for job recruitment.

Once I located my mom was about the time that he asked me how much money do I have. Which is when I started to curse him out and call him an idiot because my mother was standing in front of me."
