"I got a call, which was really breaking up saying that I was going to be charged for a renewal of computer service that I had signed up for 2 years ago. I found no records of such in my file, so I questioned the action. It was quite evident that the call was coming from a "boiler room" I was told I could not do it over the phone, I had to use the computer. I did not give out any more information to the caller so he said that I would be charged $499.00. I told them it was not going to work and I will report to my financial sources to watch for an unusual billing. They hung up."
