"3 June 2019: Believed to be a SCAM. Caller identified themselves as a debt collector for Comcast. They said I opened an account using my name, SSN, the number they called me at, and my home address on 1 October 2018 and that the account had been delinquent since 31 October 2018.

First off, the home/service/billing address they reportedly had on file was not my address. The only thing they had right was my name and phone number. They kept asking me to verify my SSN, which I did not. I kept asking them to tell me what SSN they had on file and they said they couldn't give out that information due to privacy regulations. I told them I had my own privacy regulations and that was not to give out my SSN, dah!

Secondly, I have never had service in my life with Comcast.

The caller threatened to escalate the situation to the highest level including turning the matter over to my local police unless I paid the delinquent amount ($226.78) plus collection fees. I told them to go ahead!!!

I wander what service Comcast offers for $28.35/month to come up with the $226.78 (8 months since the supposed account was opened). Seems like SCAM, SCAM, and more SCAM."
