"Special offer for a discount on my ATT Directv account.

After I started talking to them, the guy said that it was a special PROMOTION with eBay. I needed to buy $400 in eBay gift cards and telephone those card numbers to them to start the promotion/discount.
A COMPLETE SCAM.
I called ATT and they confirmed it and said they had known about it for a long time., BUT THEY NEVER WARNED THEIR VALUED CUSTOMERS ABOUT THE DANGER/"
