"Called despite being on both Federal and Texas No Call lists. First male asked for me by my first name only then identified himself as working for "the warranty department." I asked why he was calling and he said he was calling to talk about an extended warranty on my Lexus 350 and could I hold on for a "warranty expert." Then "jim" came on the line and after I asked, said he was with Sewell Lexus, the dealership where I purchased my car. I asked him to confirm that several times and he did, insisting that he was the warranty specialist assigned to my vehicle. Then he asked about my mileage and whether I had ever had an accident. He then insisted that despite my very low mileage, i really needed to extend my warranty because the newer cars had so much more technology and therefore were more likely to need expensive repairs. (I had told him I owned a previous RX for 10 years with many more miles driven on a daily basis and never had any major repairs) When I questioned why I should own a new car then if the technology was more likely to cause me to have to have major repairs, he hung up on me."

"Called twice. Looked it up and appears to be that IRS scammer. Also, other callers have said on there posts here that its coming for Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.

The Ft Lauderdale Police department has now been notified and they are looking into it for a an arrest and conviction."
