CALLER ID: 001696 Submitted by tracey on February 10, 2015 "this number called me at 5:30am, of course I got up and ran to phone thinking it was an emergency with one of my older children, who calls that early. I looked up number and came across these posts, sounds like same experience I had over 6 months ago. Our lap top was running like crep and got a call on my home phone saying he was from windows support and that my computer was sending messages that I had viruses, he also said another computer in house was sending same warning,I believed him, he was able with my help to remote acess my computer, everything he showed me looked legit, my 15 year old asked what I was doing, I told him about lap top and his computer, he said mom I don't have windows operating system on my computer, he told me it was a scam so I shut off my computer. I received 15-20 calls back from him from different numbers telling me to turn my computer back on, he was extremely rude and threatening. I went to bank worried they had acess account info, he started calling me on my cell phone, which I never gave him. I told him I was at police station and guy from bank pretended to be a cop, he hung up. Then called back several times, my 15 year old grabbed the phone and started going off on him, he told my son to put me on the fking phone, so I did, he told me had been callin me back to see if I wanted to cancel the software protection program, I told him I already canceled through credit card company. I hadn't heard back, until today, then I looked at log and they called yesterday too.
