"They told me I was eligible for a grant from the government but I needed to pay them $3.87 as a fee. When I told them that I wouldn't pay and the fee is always taken from the grant money for processing, the foreign sounding gentlemen went on a long spout of how secure it was and people do it all of the time and they were from the government. I asked for the website name for research purposes and he gave me grant.gov as the website. I proceeded to tell him to call me back in three weeks. He asked me if I was joking and replied, "You can have thousands of free grant money in two to three days and you want to wait three weeks?' I said yes, I'm not in a hurry I can wait and he hung up on me. He sounded like he was from India or that side of the world.
He never specified his company or gave me his name."
