"I've been getting calls with this number as well and thought it was suspicious because I didn't have a Citi Credit Card.
I called Citi directly to report the number as fraud but they verified the number as a valid Citi Bank number.

I realized that they have a lot of small companies under their umbrella (Best Buy, Sears, Exxon, Goodyear, Home Depot, Big O Tires, Brooks Bros, Office Depot, Staples...) and it turns out that I had an account with one of their retail partners."

"I have received multiple calls for the past 3 days asking me to call 18775875727. The voice mail stated they were calling from Citibank. I am not a Citibank customer. After reading other reports, I decided to call the number just to see what they would say. I asked why I received the call and was asked to give my telephone # or account # so she could investigate. Again, I said I do not have an account so I gave my phone #. Then she said, I'm so sorry but I can not find anything by your phone #. If you would give me your full SSN i can look it up that way. REALLY?!! I do hope no one gets sucked into this scam. I asked to be removed from their call list and she said she could not do that without my full SSN. Sigh...."

"Received at least four calls today. Answered one and they ask for my husband. When I told them I was the spouse, they wanted me to verify my name. I said what are you calling about. Said they represented Mobile X, when I mentioned Citibank (which once they left a message, like we had a card). She said they would call back, when I said what are they calling about."

Whole thing sounds like a scam. I am used to contact Citi at a bookmarked website in my computer or by calling tel # they provided on back of credit car."
