"Just as I was laying down to go to sleep, this number called my cell phone. I answered, and it was a recording offering to lower the interest rate on my credit card. I immediately knew it had to be a scam, because I don't use credit cards, however, I decided to play along and pressed 1 to talk to a representative. A man with a VERY thick accent answered. He started his spiel, and I interrupted him saying, "I don't HAVE a credit card. I don't WANT a credit card. Take me off your calling list". He quickly hung up on me. I called back (mostly out of spite), and got a recording to press 1 to be removed from their list. Not sure if that was for real or not, but I'm headed to my cell phone provider's page right now to block this number."

"This phone number showed up as a missed call several times. When I was able to answer, the caller indicated that because I have always paid my credit card on time, I qualified for a lower rate. I asked him what rate I was at now and what would it to. When he indicated that my card was with Bank of America, I told him (caller sounded very far away and had a very thick accent) that I don't have a Bank of America card, he promptly hung up."

"Got a call from 201-243-3365. I let the answering machine pick it up! ID showed Bartllett Inc. We do not know this "company!" No message left!"

"I recieved a call stating that this was my last warning to lower my credit card interest rate. I spoke with someone who said they were from my bank and wanted my expiration date. I said I was going to call my bank and they hung up. They knew how much I owed on my credit card."

"I wasn't around to recieve the call but the number doesn't show up as a legitimate company. Only thing I have been able to pull up is the line provider which is One Communications. Provider not easy to find either. Too many close name matches with operations under same industry. There has to be a way to enforce the DNC list."
