This call is absolutely a SCAM to gain access to your computer. Once in control of your computer, this person can steal any information that is on the computer as well plant malware software or viruses on your computer. This is VERY dangerous in terms of their ability to steal information from your computer including keystrokes. Capturing keystrokes they steal your usernames and passwords you may use for online banking or any websites you use on the internet.

Assume at this point that the computer has a virus at this point planted by this SCAMMER and wipe the hard drive clean. Your son should have never given access to this person. Changing the IP will do nothing to protect you at this point."

"On Tuesday 7-20-11 A man with a foreign accent called me and said that my computer was infected and I need to sit down in front of it.I then gave the phone to my son who is studying computer tech and I let him handle the call. The man on the phone told my son to do things on the computer and soon after the man on the phone had control of my computer. He was showing my son of all the errors and warnings on my computer and that we need some program to rid the computer of these. My son handed the phone to me and the man told me this and said that it would cost $129.00. I told him I wasn't interested. He then let go of my computer. He has been calling everyday since then and I keep telling him I'm not interested. He said his name is Victor which I know is probably not his real name. He calls on 3 different phone numbers. The first one was 07709068934. the 2nd 01234567890, the 3rd 234567890. My son has changed the IP address on our computer in hopes that they can't hack into it."
