A gentleman with a foreign accent said he was calling from the U.S. Government _____ Department in Washington, D.C. I couldn't understand him very well so I asked what department. He said the U.S. Government. I told him that he was calling me from Chicago, Illinois and that there was not a U.S. Government _____ department (I couldn't understand the department he said due to a strong accent). I explained to him I knew this because I was a U.S. citizen. He said, "you are not a U.S. citizen, right?" At this point I knew it was a scam so I politely asked him to remove my phone number from his call list. Surprisingly, he hung up on me. It's a damn shame that there are people everywhere trying to scam anyone and everyone they possibly can. I'm completely disgusted."
