It appears that they're calling from Malaysia..
a company called UTH.
If it's not clear thgis is a MS scam confirmed as a scam by Microsoft.
You should send the number and a complaint to donotcall.gov.

"Received a call me on my home number (there is no cell phone access for AT&T out here in a small town 8 miles from Cornell University). This occurred today, Thursday May 26th at 3:52 pm by a South Indian guy claiming to be from Microsoft. I knew then that he was a scammer and so hung up. But then at 5:52 pm (so exactly 2 hours later, I get another call, same strange number with only 8 out of 10 numbers (5 isn't an area code!) This time the person didn't even bother to say he was from Microsoft and just hung up. Unbelievable. This has never happened to me on my home phone before.

I'm thinking of purchasing the Tel-Sentry V2.0 Smart Automatic Blocking device which is available for about $44.

This is getting ridiculous and I hope there is some way to have these people shut down."

"Same experience -- guy with Indian accent said he was from Microsoft and they were receiving notifications from my computer that my security/firewall system had been infected. He had my CLS ID. The call was cut off, then there was a call back but no voice. The first call came from Unknown, but the second left a caller ID."
