"So I see I am not the only one receiving the calls.

To begin with I am a certified Microsoft support specialists, so I like messing with these guys. I get called two or three time a day from them. Here is one of the conversations.

"The is xxxx from Windows support. I'm calling about your computer. You have an infection. I need you to go to this website so I can connect and take care of it."

"You're calling about my computer?"

"Yes. It has an infection."

"And you work for Microsoft?"

"Yes"

"Ok. I have your software protection suite on my computer. Just send me the update through that."

"You don't understand! your computer is infected!"

"Wait. It's already infected? Then your software isn't doing a very good job! I'm going to find something that actually works then!!" and I hung up.

Less than a minute later I get a call back.

"Why did you hang up?"

"Because your software clearly isn't doing it's job! I'm going to buy something that will!" and I hang up.

And again I get a call back...

"Please stop hanging up! I am trying to help you!"

"You're from Microsoft, right?"

"I am from Windows support."

"Oh! Well why didn't you say so! I use Linux.""

"Received call at work from male claiming to be "Windows Technical Support". They hung up after I asked for their location and badge number."
