"Turned out to be valid. Confirmed through other means than giving info to the given phone number. Also, if you call the 800-695-1063 number back and fail to input an account number eventually a live person will answer.

Prerecorded call claiming to be from Comenity Bank. Requesting that I call regarding urgent personal matter regarding credit card. Thought this was a scam, but I separately logged into my Pottery Barn Account managed by Comenity to find I had forgotten to make my December 2016 payment in the rush of the holiday season. The call was to let me know I had missed a payment. I directly called Comenity from a different number provided through my online account and requested the late fee be removed which they were able to do.

Thought I initially thought it was a scam, it was in fact not.

I did let them know that their method of doing so falls flat and that everyone assumes it's a scam."

I am not calling back after researching these calls and checking the status of my account. I always pay my bill in full every month on time. This seems to be a Christmas scam. Ugh."
