I answered second call even though in both instances the no. on my device said "Unknown." I informed this number, that says it is Community Bank, that I don't do business with them and will not tolerate any further calls from them." Don't do it!!!" CALLER ID: unavailable CALLER COMPANY: Comenity Bank Submitted by Melina on November 28, 2016 "Received call from "unknown" number stating it was Comenity bank and to call 800-695-1063. I call back and was asked to input my account number. However i have several accounts with comenity bank i.e. Victoria Secret, Pac Sun to name a few. I inputted random numbers and it asked for last 4 of my social. I hung up because there wasn't an option to speak with a rep and I know for a fact all my bills were paid the beginning of the month as always. Very weird. I feel if it was legit when they called me a rep would have spoken to me. Like when i go out of town and use my cards in different states," CALLER ID: UNKNOWN CALLER COMPANY: Comenity Bank Submitted by Ana on November 22, 2016 "Got the same call from Comenity Bank-- who is the bank for Talbots and several other companies. If you are not sure who it is, look in the back of your store cards for the name of the bank administrating their financial dealings. Ignoring a call would probably be a mistake. I recognized the bank and called them back-- the call was legit." CALLER COMPANY: Comenity Bank Submitted by Donna on October 24, 2016 "Comenity/Pier 1 continues to charge me late fees even though my balance is low and I've been making payments every month. I wrote them a letter by "snail mail" on 10/13 about this, then sent a follow-up e-mail on 10/19, but the only response I've gotten is one of these same calls other people are receiving, which I'm not inclined to respond to. They can either e-mail me or write me "snail mail" in response." CALLER COMPANY: Comenity Bank/Pier 1 Submitted by Mahmoud on October 22, 2016 "It is true call. It is to remind you about a payment that is past due." Submitted by Melissa on October 13, 2016 "Got a voice mail saying "This is a message from Cominity bank. Please make it a priority to return this call today regarding a matter of personal importance at 800-695-1063 again, that number is 800-695-1063." I called back and it asked for the primary account holders card number and last 4 of ssn. I entered random numbers because I've never heard of this bank. Got transferred to a rep and was immediately asked for my phone number. Seems a little sketchy." CALLER ID: Unknown Submitted by Amadeus on October 01, 2016 "These are REAL calls from COMENITY BANK. They call as a courtesy regarding past due balances. They provide BRANDED credit cards to businesses. An example is Pier I Imports. Confusing as if you have, say, a Pier 1 Imports credit card, you know you have a Pier 1 card, but usually are not aware and thinking that it is really a Comenity Bank Credit Card. If concerned about the validity of ANY call, but believe you know the card or account in question, simply call the number on the back of the card, and let them know you received a call, and ask if it was real, and if so, what it was about. IGNORING a real call could be detrimental to your credit and so while you should ALWAYS be cautious and careful about who you share your info with, you MUST do your DUE DILIGENCE and make sure that the call isn't real, before ignoring it. Hope this helps." CALLER ID: no caller id CALLER COMPANY: Comenity Bank / Branded Consumer Credit Cards, such as Pier 1 Imports, as an example
