"So annoying. Robot calls me multiple times a day since Monday, June 3rd. I’m not stupid, social security doesn’t call you, they use mail."

"I received several calls from that same area code too (828) but slightly different number(828)865-0419. This was real recent (yesterday & today at least 2-3 times). It's a robo-call that tells me to press a number & then says it'll take me to a supposed representative. Well, I have just recently actually work a local Social Security employee working at the SSA office in SF where I live at the moment (due to a recent serious work injury) who has my personal phone mobile & not my work cell phone number at all. If there is an issue, they should be able to contact me directly through my personal cell phone & not my work cell phone. Also, this representative would notify me directly.

I was scammed last year by a somewhat similar issue - an IT service I took online by mistake was charging me monthly for their computer support services. Well, after 3-4 months, somebody from their "company" called me & said I'm entitled to a refund saying they're sorry for their bad service. And, I fell for it at that time after they called me regularly & we built this "relationship." But, what they actually did was take all my info I gave them & then try to solicit way more funds from what they originally told me & asked for similar info - e.g. DL copy, bank account#, etc. It was too weird, but I was so gullible after they constantly called me & built up again this "relationship." Anyway, I had to close my bank accounts, change all my personal passwords, try to recover what money from them that I sent to them initially. It was a huge mess! And not only that, another fake company "rep" of this scammer called me this year wondering if I'd like to get their services back & asking why I left the company. They weren't very good about transferring to their other fake/scammer reps what I told them & all the changes I made to my various personal accounts.
Now, I really grill all these folks that call me randomly for their personal info, tell them to email or mail me more info on what they're trying to sell, etc. They usually hang up right away when I "grill" them. And, I don't bother answering other calls unless their work-related with my work mobile phone.

Also, I've been to all 50 States so I'm well aware of all the various areas around the US."
