"Just like everyone else they said they were calling from yahoo and my account had been compromised and had a strong Indian accent. They said do I have any emails in my spam I said yes and he said get to a computer so I can help you with this. I hung up he called right back twice. I answered he said this is not a scam when I told him I felt it was. He also raised his voice. And said I am not asking for any passwords or anything like that. I told him I didn't have a computer and he said you don't have a computer? He asked me to use a friends computer. I said call me back Monday at 11. Someone called back that same day 2 hours later I did not answer and now they called again today. I did not give any info and I will not be answering again."

CALLER COMPANY: They say Yahoo but this is a lie

"Guy with an Indian accent calls and greets me by my first and last name and tells me that he is with Yahoo and that the Yahoo mail system has reported to him that there is a security problem with my computer (yeah, right) and would I please download some software of his to "correct" the problems (e.g. search for all my password and bank files so they can empty them all.)

There must have been a security breach at Yahoo since I do have a Yahoo account but that account knows my real first and last names and my telephone number since I enter it as a back-up to Yahoo mail. But it's still a scam.

The darn thing is after I hang up within minutes I get another call from the same number. And another call. And a fourth call. Then they moved on to this next "mark" I guess."

"This man with an accent called about 5 or 6 times. Starting at 5:09 until 5:30. He wanted me to type certain keys. He said he was calling from"

"A women with an Indian accent called me several times and knew my name and said they got an alert from my ip address from my computer and needed for me to let her access my computer to resolve the issue, I told her I was busy but she said she would keep calling until I allow her to fix the problem. Now I won't answer the phone anymore when she calls."

"Received call 8-10 times and did not answer. There was a type of message left, which I felt may have been in their error. I could hear numerous people from their call station conversing with people. They were able to speak several languages. Several times I heard them refer to Russia. I will unplug this landline phone."

"A caller who identified herself as Lily Rothman told me she was calling from my internet service provider, brandeis.edu. (Of course, that's not my internet service provider, it's my employer.) She wanted to confirm that I asked to change my password, since I had called at 7:45 that morning. I told her I made no such call. "Are you certain? Well, then, who could have done it?" I told her I wasn't too worried, "thank you for letting me know," then hung up. She called again immediately. I let the phone ring. She didn't leave any voice mail message."
