"Called with middle Eastern accent. Said they were from AOL and found people in Africa and Norway had stolen and using by email account and needed to get into my computer to fix the problem. Big sweat shop noise in the background of many people talking. I immediately unplugged my computer. He was trying to sell a $700 virus App to rid the problem. I then woke up and hung up. He called back a dozen times and told me what my SS Number was (it was correct) and began violently cussing at me, my mother, etc., and threatening that he would charge many $700 virus Apps to my CC. As a precaution, I closed out my CC and bank account and issued new accounts. However, nothing happened before the accounts were closed. I was told by the bank that they could get my SS No. from other sources. DO NOT Speak with these people. HANG UP and report it to the FTC 877-438-4338. When these criminals are found, bring rope."

The other person claimed to be Norton. After I asked the same question, he asked what I meant. Then he called me ***** ..... by then it is clear to me that it is a scamming operator.
I noted the callId, Googled it and here I am reporting with the hope that some authority can put these scums out."

"Received 8 phone calls from 844 550 2555 he said he represented Yahoo mail and tried to convince me my password had been hacked. I told him I already Googled phone number and it said it was a scam. We called the number back and this time I had won a Walmart gift card for $100.00"

"Man with East Indian accent claimed he was calling about my computer security. I told him to take me off his list. Called back claiming there was no list and that I had already paid for his service, which was a blatant lie. I never paid for anything like that. After 4 more calls I told him no matter how many times he called the answer would still be no and turned my phone off."
