"Someone named David called and asked for the decision maker for quickbooks (which is me). He asked if we had updated lately and said he saw an error from his end. I asked if he knew the name of the company he was calling and he could not answer. I called him out for trying to scam us and hung up. Then he called back! He left a VM saying that this is very important, etc. I called the actual QB number (800)446-8848 and I was verified that this is a scam. Do not allow them to remote into your computer and don't give them the time of day."

"BEWARE!! Just spoke to Intuit Quickbooks REAL number is (800)446-8848 so don't fall for the scam... I did a couple of years ago and they remotely "F"ed me and charged me $700 which took me about 2 months to get my money back and only bc I have a great bank but these guys will get you if you are not careful. NEVER EVER LET THEM REMOTELY GO INTO YOUR QB, they will mess it up then tell you you need to fix it for a price! Real hassle!! Still pissed about it but once fooled....never again. Call QB at their real no if you get a call from anyone claiming to be from QB!"
