"Received a call today from (888) 236-4586 stating that my service from PNM was scheduled to be terminated if I did not pay to become current. I settled up in office and closed my account with PNM back in 2009 because I moved out of state. Tonight, I looked up PNM's actual number and called it. I spoke with a representative who looked up my old address and phone number; she confirmed that PNM has no current records for me for service or requesting new service. I gave her the number I was called from, that number is likely fraudulent. DO NOT call the number provided by the recording. DO NOT confirm or send payment of any kind. Call PNM directly and sort it out with them."

"Called asking for payment for service with PNM or else my service will be disconnected. The call sounded like it was on speaker phone. I told the person on phone that I did not even live in New Mexico. The person hung up the phone.
Definitely losers trying to scam."

"Called saying they were with PNM and were going to shutoff service due to non-payment. Confirmed on our PNM account page we were up to date with payments. Sounded like I was on speakerphone the whole time. Told the gentlemen that I couldn't find their phone number on google for PNM. He got silent. Definitely a scam. Gentlemen also spoke with my gf who forgot his and gave her two different names in the span of 20 minutes."

"Called asking for payment for PNM, or I will be disconnected. I do not have PNM service, they are based in Albq., NM. I called Continental Divide Electric and they stated that they do not have my cell phone # on file, which is on a do not call list and they only have my business land line phone number. My electric service is not PNM electric."
