"A man name James Williams is connected to an electric company scam in Columbus, OH. He claims that he is an employee of AEP Energy in Columbus, OH, by showing you his nametag and title, but he isn't really employed by AEP Energy. His scam is to going door-to-door claiming that he is can save you money on your electric bill by enrolling you in a program offered by AEP Energy. First, he contacts a woman living in San Antonio, Texas on his cell phone. She calls you back from this number 210-418-8995 and she asks you for your name, address, telephone number and service identifier number with your current electric company. Next, she gives you a bogus customer ID number and tells you to call a bogus phone number. If you call the 210 number, you will only get a pre-recorded message. I reported this number to my local electric company."
