"Got a text a few weeks ago re a secret shopper job for whole foods. Stated it was lucrative and could last for months. Needed to be able to go to all stores to perform work which would take 20-30 minutes. These stores are in 3 states! Forgot about it till today (6/19/20) when I got a follow up text from john hastrup saying I was on a short list for hire. I have been targeted for this scam several times before for car wraps, walk art shopping, etc. Somebody needs to put these criminals out of business- lock em up already!"

So I confirmed it just to see and he sent me another message saying basically I would receive a welcome packet in the mail with my assignments it a few days. . Literally the next day I recived a overnighted priority mail envelope with a horribly printed instructions sheet and a check for 1950.52 from Virginia credit union, it isn't identical to the checks I pulled up online but I do have the correct routing number that no hard to get tho ... and the only address on the check is a p.o box that's a red flag all on it's on. In the instructions they wanted me to deposit it keep 450 for my comision the go to different stores buying different ebay gift cards ranging from 20 to 100 . I'm then supposed to send an email with the store name the employees name how the experience was and of course the front and back of each fully loaded gift card with all the money on them and the strip on the back scratched , in the email you send to the boss , this is obviously a scam, but I'm still messaging him to go alone and see what he says I just got the envelope today so I just let him know I got it . By the way they claim to work for whole foods"
