"I got a text from a Frank Lopez asking for my son ( who is disabled) saying he's from the WA DC fraud department and to contact him in this matter of international transactions activity that were red flags. I called the number ( 703-589-9681) he left and then I got transferred to a man named Gene Caruso ( 703-795-2879)and he wanted money to help me keep my son out of jail and if I didn't want to do, I could get a lawyer and he would just put a warrant out and would have us arrested.
Now since I've found out that this is a scam and I block both numbers just a few days I got another same area code from an Officer Michael Russo (703-705-9026)for my son. I contacted my local police department on this matter. So as I am sitting here writing this I got another call from ( 703-291-0029) which has called before."

"I talked to the FBI, twice, and the local police, and they both definitively and unequivocally said this was FAKE. These are scammers.

They came in claiming a lot of information. A lot of scare tactics. Made a point not to emphasized the charges (and talked past them) but they put on a good show. Staged 2 calls - 1. Donald Harris - who both threatened and offered reassurance that he knew I was a victim etc. If I was a victim, and they knew that, then why would they press charges? It didn't make sense. They claimed to want information but didn't ask for any the second called walked me through 2 "Options": 1. Go hire an attorney, made it seem like an overwhelming amount of embarrassment and $$$ then the program for victims which all I would be responsible for is a fee for court. He gave me a residential address to a person I could find on FB and I went to the police."
