"I saw 1-888-491-8901 as EPSON printer support online. Thinking it is the official EPSON support I worked with the guy (Kevin) in debugging the wireless printer problem. He duped me into running security scan and convincing me that my laptop was hacked and I should call 1-800-516-1649 Technobooks and they will clean my computer of the bugs and charge $240. I disconnected but by then he probably got the IP addresses of my home network. Beware of both the above mentioned numbers."

"SCAMMER - this number appeared in Google as an advertised link for Brother printer support. They attempted to get $449.00 for technical support for my $400 Brother printer. The person said my IP address had been hacked, and they knew this because they were a "Level 5 IP Technician." (IP addresses are a "kindergarten level" computer issue - completely fake title.) They then transferred me to another scam number - 877-588-3788."
