"Received a postcard stating WATER ALERT & to call 833-385-0263. Called after hours I guess because the recording said lines are busy. Looked up this number and found it to be a scam. I thought it was because there is no address, hours to call, and the phone message did not state the water company's name."

"Got a fluorescent yellow postcard with an urgent message about a water alert. I'm to call this number Monday thru Saturday. Luckily I looked up the number and found this site. They won't hear from me."

You call, they want to immediately probe to gather your information before telling you anything about them. The call wasn't answered with the typical "Thanks for calling X Utilities" greeting. I didn't give them any info.

Turns out, it's Victory First Water. Not BB Accredited. Their reviews state they harass, spam and "don't take no for an answer" and "use scare tactics to sell water treatment products."
