"My niece received a very scary call from this number, 844-854-5524, yesterday about some money she owed the IRS and how there was a warrant out for her arrest. His name was Mr. Reese, heavy Indian accent and very persistent. He demanded $1,200.00. She was at work minding her own business when this idiot called. It scared her so badly that she was going to pay. All she could think of was what would happen to her baby if she was arrested. Thankfully we realized that this call was from a scammer who would rather steal money from hard working individuals than go to work himself. I am very upset. I hope he is caught and penalized."

"They said they tried twice to notify me by mail and this was my last chance to pay or I would go to jail today. They said it was an IRS lawsuit and I had to pay $1,470.00. within three hours. Very heavy Indian accent and lots of background noise. He gave me IRS code numbers, badge numbers, and case numbers. He sounded very official.I called the police to verify if it was a scam .......IT WAS A SCAM !!"

I called the # & as others have said, heavy accent, gave the name William Reese ID # 89681, said 2 letters had been sent, yadda, yadda, yadda. Sounded legit. We got disconnected & when I tried to call back I got hung up on. Found this link & felt both relieved & annoyed. Watch out for this guy!"

"I had a similar experience with a man who said his name was David Miller. He told me I was being investigated for tax fraud. The phone number he gave me was the same as above. I appreciate the opportunity to report the call here. Feel a little more in control and pro-active."
