"I was called supposedly from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power that I hadn't paid my last bill and that they were going to cut off my power today if I didn't pay right now. They referred me to this number (supposed finance department). They would only accept payment by Zelle, which has no protections (first red flag). I made sure that I had actually paid the bill (I had, as usual). I checked the number and arrived here."

I did get a lady to pick up one time, I provided my name, and she put me on hold but then hung up on me. I called back multiple times and still got sent to voicemail.
