"Important message from Altura Credit Union. When I called back the voice got very soft when identifying the name of the company."

"They left a vm saying “this is an important call from altura credit union”. I called the # back and the sound was off so I was immediately suspicious. I was already suspicious that they would call on a Saturday afternoon."

"I received a Altura Credit Union fake call from 1-866-6314 on 12/15/20 (after 8:pm). Caller had my true name (I am anonymous here for privacy) and was verbally aggressive insisting he "needed to help me as it was urgent."

I told caller that I only do business via correspondence and simply hung up on him."

"Someone called my mother last night posing as an employee of Altura Credit Union. The call was made after 8:00pm. The caller claimed that she was late on a loan payment. The asked her to verify her address and date of birth and wanted her to make a payment over the phone. Thankfully my mother did not give any information or make a payment. I called the number today and received a message stating "In observance of the holiday we are closed. Please call us on the next available business day." I called the number for Altura on their statement and they were there and said a call after 6:00pm would be an automated phone call not a live person. Please check into this. I don't believe the call was legitimate. Thank you."
