"Got a call, caller was claiming to be from Equifax Mortgage Solutions, and needed to verbally verify information. Equifax is a credit reporting bureau, they do not issue of service loans. This is not a legitimate call, Equifax will never call you to verify your information. Do not exchange any of your personal information with these people, especially if they offer a conference call with your lender -- the other person will either be part of scam or may even be your legitimate lender, but because technically, you are now calling into this institution, they will need to verify your information thereby granting the bad actor all your information. This is a phishing scam, do not fall victim to these scum."
