"Within minutes of posting an ad on kijiji where I clicked "offer cashless payment" (which I assume is how he's filtering his searches). His first message said he would send movers to come get it today which was a red flag so I googled it and it led to this forum.

Ad was posted in Winnipeg area."

"Tried to buy something off me in form of echeck with more funds than requested to "cover moving fee" due to covid. I deposited check, but was not dumb enough to spend the money thank goodness. Buyer said his name was paul when texting me, but the check was also in a different name. buyer used extremely pushy language and started getting very rude when i was asking more questions. BUYER BEWARE."
