"Joshua, Badge ID 3612 called saying he was from Discover Card. Said I qualified for the Covid 19 and said I qualified to have my debt eliminated. I called Discover and they said they never called and don't have such a program.
I have received called like this before from different numbers. I have even reported these calls to the FCC and nothing has happened. I am on the do not call list, and yet I continue to get these calls."

"My father just recieved a call from someone named David Parker who said my father owed $7,000. My father called me and gave me the name and phone number (838-333-3734) so I could call and find out what this was about. I handle all of my parents financial affairs so I knew right away this was a scam as my father does not owe $7,000 to anyone or on any credit card. I called the number, and a woman with an asian accent answered, asked my name and gave me to a man, also with an asian accent...he did not confirm to me whether he actually was David Parker (though I doubt that was his real name). This man did not know anything about talking with my father just a few minutes earlier, could not tell me what the $7,000 was for, then told me he would check on it and promptly hung up on me. Best advice is not to answer phone calls unless you recognize the number or have the person's name in your phone's contact list."

"I received multiple calls from this number about debt forgiveness. Sounded too good to be true, which usually means it is. After multiple calls and really pressuring Kim Harper to tell me what company he works with, he finally told me National Debt Relief is the name of the company. I spoke with NDR and he is not in their system and they have never heard of him. The scariest part is that Kim Harper seemed to know everything about me, SSN, Birthdate, account numbers and totals. I spent a week trying to confirm this was legit or a scam. I cannot say this with absolute certainty, but all signs are pointing to it being a scam. Be very careful!"

"Received a call from man named Ben Johnson. Claimed he could eliminate debt to 2 of my credit cards, Discover and Visa. He had all my info already and said they could take away my credit card debt. I said no one hank-you. They called again a week later, asking the same thing, I noticed a $11,565.00 charge to my Discover card. Called them to have it removed. Waiting to see if they can help me clear that up."

I WAS INSTANTLY SUSPICOUS WHEN HE SAID HIS NAME WAS BEN JOHNSON AND HE HAD A HEAVY ACCENT. I ASKED FOR HIS DIRECT NUMBER AND HE GAVE 838-333-3734 IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. SCAM, SCAM, SCAM"

Adam Gibbs said he was with Liberty Debt Elimination Program and due to COVID, he can eliminate my credit card debt and I won't have to pay anything back!

Too good to be true???!!!"

"Received a call from 888-567-8688. caller identified himself as Paul Warren, Senior account Manager with Chase Bank. I had him repeat that info to confirm.
Indicates his direct tel nbr is 1-838-333-3734 Ext 9000.
He further states his employee ID Number is 1039 SCS.
He possesses my personal information (No I did not provide it) and indicates he can eliminate my debt under the FAIR CREDIT ACT. He had a knowledge of my present Credit Card debt and credit cards with a balance He wanted me to be in possession of 2 of my credit cards that are carrying the highest balance. I indicated I did not presently have access to those cards and caller wanted me to call him back when I was in possession of those 2 cards. Caller had a heavy accent ; possibly middle eastern/Indian/Pakistani (?) He also said he was not offering crredit or selling anything. He further stated that at the conclusion of the call he would email me the Fair Credit Act and related documents to ELIMINATE my existing credit card debt. Rec'vd several calls from 838-333-3736 which I did not answer immediately prior to answering the call from 888-567-8688"
